Drying Oven

Usually a convection oven, this item follows a washing process and is designed to completely dry all moisture of the work piece prior to painting.  The drying oven is designed around a conveyor system and provides adequate time to complete the drying process, usually 5-10 minutes at 150ºC.

The oven incorporates structural steel to provide a rigid free-standing enclosure, and is clad in insulated panels to retain heat and keep exterior surfaces cool.

Heat can be provided by direct-fired gas burners, or indirectly from oil burners or other heating medium.  In a convection oven air is recirculated for maximum economy.  Heated air is distributed throughout the oven by ducting containing high pressure outlet nozzles, and a collection duct returns air to the heating system.  Air is pumped through the oven ducts by a fan.  The fan volume is usually selected to provide four oven volume per minute.
